This page explains what happens to information you share with Calibrate when you fill in the contact form on the home page or email us directly. Calibrate is a UK-based sole-trader consultancy and acts as the data controller for personal data submitted through this site.

What we collect

When you use the contact form, you send us:

• Your name
• Your business name (optional)
• The message you write

We don't use analytics that fingerprint visitors, we don't set marketing cookies, and the site does not embed third-party trackers. Standard server logs at our hosting provider (Vercel) record request metadata such as IP address for a short retention period for abuse prevention.

Where it goes

Contact-form submissions are sent to our form processor, Formspree, based in the United States. Formspree forwards each submission to our inbox and stores it on their servers under their privacy policy and standard contractual safeguards for UK/EU-to-US transfers.

Lawful basis

We process the data you submit under the lawful basis of legitimate interest — responding to a direct enquiry you initiated — and, where applicable, the steps necessary to enter into a contract at your request.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while a conversation is active and for up to 24 months afterwards so we can reference earlier context if you return. After that they're deleted. If our conversation leads to a project, project records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax record-keeping requirements.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export any personal data we hold about you, or object to its processing. Email calibrate.ai.uk@gmail.com with the request and we'll come back to you within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Cookies

The site sets no marketing or analytics cookies. The only browser storage we may use is functional state (e.g. remembering whether you've dismissed the mobile menu within a session) — nothing that identifies you.
